The best time to ride in a hot air balloon if you must is around sunrise when the wind is calm…
Only in America could a city get away with sending its tourists up in the air. We’re not sure if Albuquerque is trying to send us a message or trying to send us away. But just to be safe I kept my boots on the ground that day. This city is more than enough enchanting at ground level.
Ballooning is eerie-quiet…shocking-beauty…and totally insane.

… Nico, a baloon ride was the one thing I regret not doing in Africa! They cruise at about 50 ft above the animals and end the ride with a bush breakfast (it cost ~$500 back in 2006).

A wise decision all the same.

We have some good pics of ballooning . Dan stood on top of car and was able to get some good. Glad you got to see them. Love, Mom

Needed Dan there that day….I was too sore to get over to the launch area which is where you need to be for “the shot.”
