The Color Purple & Gold

Each May the pastures of Washington County turn purple and gold. And Valley Forge Lane transitions to tangled underbrush that can bring an 800 lb iron horse to its knees.

The Road To Paradiso

Named affectionately "The Otto Bahn" for our cranky neighbor from die fatherland. A long and winding road that always takes you back.
The Otto Bahn named affectionately for Otto our cranky neighbor from “der faterland.” The road from Hwy 105 to Paradiso, a land-locked 6 acre slice of heaven. This is the long and winding road that always leads me back.

The Ford has given me over 30 years of tractor-butt therapy. It needs work now that approaches the cost of a new one. If it were a John Deere there would be no question about restoring it.

Mesquita Sunset

Each Spring I ride to these Mesquite blooms on Independence Way (FM 2621) in Washington County. For a couple weeks they light the pasture gold. Bikers training for the annual MS-150 come to this spot from near and far but when the blooms turned gray this year the Earth had lost a great friend near this very spot as she trained for the long ride.
