All year all over America a gazillion people ride 150 miles taking the fight to MS…
The MS-150 Waves To Wine Ride started in San Francisco and ended the next afternoon in the Sonoma wine country. Only in San Francisco could you start at a Cow Palace and end-up in a vineyard. But fighting MS isn’t the only thing that happens on these rides. For two days people accomplish something they didn’t know they could do. Husbands and wives. Kids. Co-workers. Mothers & Daughters. And The Lean Bean Dream Team. They kept going and didn’t stop. And that’s what it takes to win this fight.

This one was special and germane—a rare combination. Mel and team dedicated the ride to Margaret and Lena.

Wow, what a neat race and a neat time. Charlie is riding his bike with some friends from Olympia to San Francisco. They are somewhere in Oregon at this time. They are covering about 60 miles a day and they are camping and staying in hotels if the weather gets too bad. They are also being shadowed by a couple of parents in RVs. There is talk of them continuing on from San Francisco to New Orleans. Now they are encountering rain but if they head to New Orleans they will be getting snow when they get to Colorado or New Mexico. I have been looking at the the Wolf Creek ski area web page and they already have enough snow to hide the ground.

Being shadowed by an RV is the best decision he could have made. Can’t wait to hear how it turns out.
